Is Brilliant Directories legit? The company behind it
Brilliant Directories identifies its operator and publishes dated terms. The terms name Pacific Holdings, LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, doing business as Brilliant Directories, and call the name a trade name of that company. They are effective February 18, 2026 and state fees in US dollars.
Disputes go to binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association in Clark County, Nevada, and the terms allow a written opt-out within 30 days. That summarizes the clause and is not legal advice.

Try Brilliant Directories →Refunds and billing in the terms
Refund scope is narrower in the terms than on the pricing page, and the Brilliant Directories free trial page sets both wordings side by side. The terms' 7-day money-back guarantee covers new, full-price subscription plans only. It excludes discounted, promotional, custom, development, add-on, boost, one-time purchase and Lifetime offers. A request goes by email within seven calendar days of the first purchase, and after that fees are non-refundable and non-creditable.
Setup fees, add-ons and boosts are non-refundable from purchase. Fees are billed in advance, renew automatically unless canceled and exclude taxes. On the account pricing page, Essentials is $40 a month, billed monthly, as read on October 23, 2026.
Cancellation, suspension and quotas
The pricing FAQ says to cancel from account settings and a help article describes a cancel flow in the Account Dashboard, while the terms say to cancel by emailing support, so confirm the route in writing when you start.
- End of the billing cycle: the site stays online until the billing date.
- Immediately: the site goes offline at once, and email and connections stop.
- After canceling: the site is suspended, archived after 30 days, and can be reactivated inside that window.
- Pause: a separate action that stops billing and keeps data and settings.
A help article says there is no cancellation fee. Quotas can lead to suspension, per the terms; the Brilliant Directories review covers them.
Your content, code and backups
You keep ownership of the content you upload and act as the data controller for your members' personal data. Deleting your data after you cancel is a separate email request. The code stays on the vendor's servers. Keep your own backup: the terms make users responsible for backups and cap the vendor's liability for data recovery.
The hosting page promises 99.9% uptime and the plans page 99%, while the terms say the service is provided without any guarantee of uptime and give no credit for downtime, so treat uptime as the vendor's aim and not a promise.
SSL, payments and gateway disputes on Brilliant Directories
SSL is included on Essentials, Builder and Pro, per the account pricing page FAQ and the SSL add-on page. Member payments go straight into your own gateway account, and the terms leave disputes and chargebacks to you and the gateway.
To hold listings, members and data on your own hosting, pick GeoDirectory or Business Directory Plugin on WordPress. Business Directory Plugin's page says you own your listings, your member directory and your data. The Brilliant Directories vs WordPress page compares both routes.
